Half-Marathon Update

Over dinner one night last week, my husband tells me he's been thinking. This is never a good thing. He continues by asking me if I'd rather run the Nashville half-marathon or go to the Kentucky Derby. Uh oh. Dilemma. I'm a sucker for derby fashion.

I'm about to tell him no, I'm training for the half marathon and I'm going to do it; the derby will have to wait. Then, he says we can always do the Knoxville half-marathon that is 3 weeks before the Nashville half-marathon. By doing the Knoxville half-marathon neither of us have to take off work, which means we can take off work to go to the derby.

Long story short, we're doing the Knoxville half-marathon and going to the Kentucky Derby. I'm so excited.  I know I said I'm a finicky runner, but I guess I'll have to get over it. I have a fabulous hat that deserves an appearance at the derby.
